Workshop on Understanding the BAETE Version-3 Manual

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) successfully organized a workshop on “Understanding the Updated BAETE V3 Manual” on Saturday, 15 November 2025, at the university’s Central Seminar Hall with the participation of faculty members from the engineering departments.\n\nPresided over by IQAC Director Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aktaruzzaman Khan, the workshop included comprehensive discussions on the updated BAETE V3 Manual, along with presentations on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), assessment frameworks, and quality enhancement strategies. Faculty members who attended the BAETE Evaluators’ Training also shared valuable insights from their experience by conducting various workshop sessions. \nThese sessions covered several key modules, including Module 1: Accreditation Manual and Accreditation Policy, conducted by Professor Engr. Razu Ahmed, Professor & Chairman, CCE; Module 2: Accreditation Procedure, facilitated by Mr. Muhammad Athar Uddin, Associate Professor, EEE, and Dr. Yasir Arafat, Associate Professor, EEE; Module 3: Accreditation Criteria, conducted by Engr. Dr. Muhammad Aman Ullah, Associate Professor & Chairman, CSE, and Mr. Tanveer Ahsan, Associate Professor, CSE; and Module 5: How to Study and Analyze SAR, presented by Dr. Engr. Abdul Gafur, Associate Professor, ETE.\n\nThe Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi, attended the workshop as the Chief Guest and delivered his remarks. He expressed optimism that a clear understanding of the BAETE Manual would play an important role in improving the academic standards of the engineering departments. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman, Treasurer of the IIUC, attended as the Special Guest.\n\nMore than a hundred faculty members from various departments under the Faculty of Science and Engineering participated in the workshop. The session was conducted by Additional Director Dr. Shah Md. Sanaul Karim. Also present was IQAC Additional Director Dr. Mohammad Manjur Alam.
